Accessibility statement
This statement concerns the website boardgameboys.fi, published by BoardGameBoys Oy (Business ID 3642289-7). We want the site to be usable regardless of the device or assistive technology you open it with.
Status of accessibility
The site has been designed and built to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA requirements. The assessment is our own; no external audit has been carried out. The site meets the requirements in part: the shortcomings listed below are known to us.
What we have done
- The pages work with a keyboard, and the focus indicator is visible.
- Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The structure is based on heading levels and native HTML elements, not on visual styling alone.
- Text and background contrast has been checked, and text scales with browser zoom.
- The site respects the operating system's reduce motion setting.
- The site is available in Finnish and English, and the page language is declared in the markup.
- Form fields have clear labels and error messages are given as text.
- The site loads nothing from third parties, so external scripts cannot break accessibility.
Known shortcomings
- Fade-in animations. Cards and form blocks appear on scroll. The content is readable without the animation, and reduced motion removes it entirely.
- Content updates. New or updated content may occasionally have temporary shortcomings. We fix them as soon as we become aware of them.
